Congratulations to Sam Bladwell. Sam’s PhD thesis “Transverse magnetic focusing in electron and hole systems with strong spin-orbit interactions” is of highest quality and it has a number of deep and surprising insights. They are presented very clearly. The thesis is a terrific and elegant piece of work.
The Great Debate Greatest Discovery Ever Made
To celebrate the National Science Week Sam Bladwell goes up on the stage to “battle" at the Great Debate Event in Maritime Museum, Sydney. “Doing battle in Sydney is: shantyman, cycle-tourist and theoretical physicist, Dr Sam Bladwell ...”. Join the fun in a debate tournament of comedy and cleverness in order to find out what is the Greatest Discovery Ever Made! SUNDAY 19 August 2018, 3.00 pm – 4.30 pm Maritime Museum Sydney. More info on the event.
